Sima is the Chief Actuarial and Risk Officer at PartnerRe, playing a critical role in shaping the company’s risk, capital and pricing and reserving strategies across both life and non-life businesses. ​

Before joining PartnerRe, Sima held senior leadership roles at AIG where she served as Chief Actuary for the UK, Europe, Global Speciality and Talbot, and at XL Catlin, following the merger with Catlin, where she was Group Actuary and UK Chief Actuary. ​

Her career journey began as an Actuary at Cardiff Pinnacle and took through her through impactful roles at EY and Equitas. She also brings board level experience, serving as a non-executive director at British Gas since 2021. With more than 20 years expertise in the P&C insurance industry and a passion for balancing technical precision with strategic insight, Sima is known for leading large and complex actuarial transformations. She is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and holds a degree in Mathematics from Loughborough University.
